Darkroom Equipment

Last February, at a hash, Beats His Mouse and I were talking and our conversation turned towards photography. He told me that his father had a lot of darkroom equipment that he was looking to get rid of. I’m always willing to learn new things, so this sounded like a great opourtunity.

Last week, I finally got back in touch with Mouse’s dad and I bought everything. What a deal! Here’s what $300 got me

  • Bessler 23C III enlarger
  • Ilford CAP-40 film processor
  • Unopened Ilford P-30 chemistry
  • Lots of Ilfochrome (ciba) paper
  • Two light safes
  • other unimportant stuff

I now have everything I need to make color prints from slide film. “Ciba” processing can be tricky, so I’ll have to learn how to make contrast masks, but it should be a lot of fun! I’m so excited!
